New Single by NERVED: Don’t Lie [revisited] – featuring Richard Sjunnesson
NERVED celebrates 20 years of concrete metal with a proper birthday bash. During this year, we will release a series of singles with re-recordings of tracks from their first two albums “off line” and “Finally Nerved”.
FINALLY THE REMAKE OF DON’T LIE
First up is this remake of Don’t Lie, featuring singer/growler Richard Sjunnesson (The Unguided, Sonic Syndicate). The song first appeared on the album “Finally Nerved” (2008) and when it was released Janne Stark exclaimed “…NERVED can write tunes that make the wallpapers curl” in Sweden Rock Magazine.
The title of the track is self-explanatory; it’s habit few of us manage to avoid. An eternal issue, currently brought up in Netflix hit series “3Body Problem”.
DON’T LIE A TRUE NERVED RIDE
As a listener, you’re invited on a ride in typical NERVED style, where massive guitars, and strong beats are mixed with electronica and powerful soul choirs. The whole affair is crowned by Petra Kvännås’ vocals, that once and for all place her in the very elite of hard rock and metal singers. Richard Sjunnesson from The Unguided contributes his characteristic growl, just as he did on NERVED’s interpretation of Electric, which has reached one million streams on Spotify. The production is once again crafted by Sweden’s elite of sound makers. If you’re a fan of Rammstein, Heart, Clawfinger and Within Temptation will not be disappointed.
