scars drop date

Next Friday, 27 September, marks a major milestone in NERVED’s journey – 20 years of concrete metal. To celebrate, we’re dropping a powerful remake of “Scars,” originally featured on our debut album Off Line from 2004. This new version brings even more heaviness and intensity, capturing the raw emotion and pain that the subject demands.

A New, Heavier Version of “Scars”

The original “Scars” from Off Line was a standout track, but this time we’ve taken things to another level. With crushing riffs, pounding drums, and a much heavier sound, the 2024 version reflects two decades of evolution in our music.

Featuring Rap Legend Zak Tell from Clawfinger

We’re beyond excited to have our good friend Zak Tell, the legendary rapper from Clawfinger, join us on this new version. His fierce lyrical delivery brings a fresh, powerful edge to the track, making “Scars” hit harder than ever before. Zak’s collaboration adds a unique dynamic that pushes the boundaries of our concrete metal sound.

Tackling a Critical Issue: Men’s Abuse of Women

The theme of “Scars” is as crucial today as it was 20 years ago. The song addresses the brutal reality of men’s abuse of women, a topic that remains devastatingly relevant. This remake not only revisits our past but also serves to highlight this ongoing issue, making it both personal and socially urgent.

Mark your calendars for next Friday, 27 September. That’s the day the remastered version of “Scars” will drop. Be ready to experience NERVED at full force with this monumental release. The track will be available on all major streaming platforms – don’t miss it!
